United We Can – an organization founded by Ken Lyotier and Binner - Vancouver, Canada, 2008, in response to persistent problems of drug addiction, mental health issues, poverty and homelessness, where:
• Social capital is treated as a by-product of organizations based on incentives and memberships
• Shifts emphasis from ‘getting by’ to ‘getting ahead’ through bridging networks
• Success is primarily based on three imperatives: ecological, economic and social interactions
