Sample Website Improvement

IMPROVED:Quantification of Compounds; Development Of Quantification Methods CPAC performs quantification of drugs and metabolites with three state-of-the-art instruments:

Applied Biosystems API 3200 LC/MS/MS;Applied Biosystems API 4000 LC/MS/MS; andThermo Scientific HPLC/MS/MS.

In addition to the HPLC/MS/MS’s, CPAC has access to HPLC systems equipped with UV, fluorescence, and other detectors that may be used for routine analyses.

ORIGINAL:Access to state-of-the-art instrumentation for quantification of drugs and metabolites is an invaluable resource for all cancer investigators in the IUSCC. The core has two of these instruments (HPLC-MS/MS; API 4000 and API 3200) for drug quantification.  In addition to the two HPLC-MS/MS’s, the core facilities have access to additional HPLC systems (equipped with UV, fluorescent, or other detectors) that may be used for routine analyses.

Long Term Recommendations

Implement IT System to help manage the process:

• A comprehensive IT system will minimize process and operational inefficiencies by providing easy-to-use interface. It will also facilitate timely communication with PIs, reinforcing CPAC’s position as a state-of-the-art pharmacokinetic Core.
