1. Go to www.storybird.com. If you have not already done so, you will need to sign up for a free account. 2. In order to create a story, click Create at the top of the page. 3. You will then see a number of different pieces of artwork. As you scroll down the page, more will load. You can also search artwork at the top of the page or explore various artwork tags by clicking on them of the left-hand side of the page. 4. Once you see an image that you like, click on it. You will then see a larger version of the image and a button at the top that says Use this Art. Click this button if this is the image that you would like to use for your book. When you click Use this Art, you will get three different options. With our free account, we will always select Picture Book. 5. You will then be brought to your book dashboard. Click on the white space on a page to type your text. 6. You can change the position of the art on your page by clicking on it and dragging it so that you can position your text above, below, to the right, and to the left of your image. 7. All of the “snapshot” images to the sides of your book are images developed by the same artist. These are all images that you may add to your book. You cannot go back and choose a different artist for the same book. 8. Add a page by clicking on the plus sign on the bottom right-hand side of your screen. You can add as many pages as you’d like to your story. You add images by clicking their “snapshots” and dragging them onto the page. 9. Be sure to edit the cover of your page by clicking on the thumbnail at the bottom of the page. You can easily return to any page of your book by clicking on the thumbnails. You can also rearrange the pages of your book by clicking and dragging the thumbnails. 10. When you are finished, click Menu on the bottom left-hand side of your page and select Publish. 11. Before publishing, you can choose whether to make your book public or private.

12. You can share your book, whether it is public or private, by giving your friends the website URL from the top of your published book page. 13. You can always go back and edit a story, even if it has already been published. 14. It is also worth noting that the Explore button at the top of your screen will allow you to explore books that people have created and made public. You can search for books by genre or search topic.
