Greece, is a small European country. The

climate in Greece is predominantly

Mediterranean thus there is a wide variety of plants

and herbs.

Plants and flowers as Iris, Narcissus, Daphne, Hyacinthus, etc. are closely related to Mythology…

2. EGALEO

Egaleo is a suburb west of Athens. It has a population of about 70.000 inhabitants . It

took it’s name from the mountain Egaleo, at the top of

which Xerxes I of Persia watched the Naval battle of

Salamis (480 BC)… Also, Egaleo is crossed by Iera Odos, one of the premier streets

of the world…

3. 5th PRIMARY SCHOOL OF EGALEO

Our school has 185 students, divided in 10 classes. At the

moment, we are 17 teachers.

We are particularly interested in environmental

matters and many times we’ve been involved in

environmental programs…

4. GROWING FROM THE GARDEN

We regard that by Comenius Project “Growing from the Garden” we will help our present pupils to become the most sensitive future

citizens of Greece, of Europe and the future rescues of the planet Earth. Our dream is to create along with our students a more humanistic, optimistic and peaceful world…
