MDEhasarobustsummerinternshipprogram,whichtheGSIPwillparticipatein.Wehaveregular(oftenweekly)brownbagluncheswhereaguestspeakerwilldiscusstopicswiththestudentsuchastheclean-upplanfortheChesapeakeBay,leadpaintpoisoninginchildren,climatechange,andoysteraquacultureoperations.Additionallythestudentsaretakenonseveralfieldtripstoplacessuchasstate-of-the-artwastewatertreatmentplants,recyclingfacilities,powerplants,andonboatsforadayofwaterqualitytesting.
