Auxiliary View

Object may be irregular face - inclined to the normal planes of projectionTrue shape can be obtained by projection to an auxiliary plane parallel to the faceThe view is know as auxiliary viewExamples of objects requiring auxiliary views:

Auxiliary View

Auxiliary view must be projected from principal view which provides the edge view of the inclined irregular face

Auxiliary View

Measurements of length are projected from the edge view of the inclined irregular faceMeasurements of width are transferred from other principal view, normally measured from reference plane (RP)Auxiliary views should always be drawn in 3rd angle projection

Auxiliary View

Common auxiliary viewView obtained by looking perpendicularly at the inclined face and projecting the true shape on auxiliary planeRemoved view, where the view is moved from its normal position without changing orientation - for convenience, clarity, dimensioning purposes, etc. The word 'view' and direction 'A' (e.g) should be used.If the removed view need to be orientated, the number of degrees and its direction must be stated
