Task

You will be learning about vertebrates and invertebrates and when you are done, you will be able to identify the difference between the two. You will learn about 5 different classes of vertebrates and 2 different classes of invertebrates.

Throughout the next couple of slides you will learn the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. You will also learn about the five different classes of vertebrates, and the two different classes of invertebrates. You will watch a video clip and you will read descriptions about the different classes of animals.

Animal kingdom groups

Scientists divided the animal kingdom into two main groups. The first group has a backbone. This group is called vertebrates.

The second group does not have a backbone. This group is called invertebrates.
