Seminar on Economic Thoughts of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is undisputedly one of the greatest economists of all time.
But unfortunately, his economic thoughts have not been read, followed or propagated.
Today in the epoch of Privatization, Globalization and Liberalization, it has become
important to understand the economic thoughts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, who is
considered the father of 'State Socialism'. He was of the opinion that the State should
control all the resources of the nation, such as land, agriculture and industries through
constitutional methods and work towards the overall development of the citizens. He
robustly believed that the State can be instrumental in developing the common man's
life, if all the resources mentioned above are in its hands.
H R P I P E R have organised half day seminar on Economic Thoughts of Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar on 05th August 2016 in seminar hall with participation of 120
students. President of the seminar was Dr. S B Bari sir with the guest speakers Dr. G
Sonawane and Dr. M B Bachute of R C Patel Arts, Commerce and Science College,
Shirpur.

Self Defense Workshop for Girls
Date: 25th January 2017 – 02nd February 2017
Lack of safety is one of the biggest problems of Indian women today. Self-
defence for women is important, if not essential. India is the fourth most unsafe
country for women, according to a 2011 poll by TrustLaw. When it comes to women’s
safety, we rank just above Somalia. Delhi is the most unsafe city for Indian women,
even during the day. A typical Indian girl is raised chaperoned and over-protected.
Rarely does she learn how to protect herself or react in a situation where she is
attacked. “If a woman is interested in regaining control of her life then it’s really
important to break the mechanism of over-protection. Learning self-defence is the
only way to do this”.
Self-defence workshop for the girl students of the institute was conducted in the
institute with the help of grant of Rs. 10,000 received from Student Welfare
Department, NMU, Jalgaon. In the workshop 51 girl student of the institute
participated and acquired the skills and techniques of self-defence through Karate. For
the same black belt karate instructor Mr. Jaysing R. Padvi gave practical training to
the students.
