PUBLISHING LAW: No.30/2004/QH11Article 27:• All publications must be deposited before release. The deposit of publications

under the following provisions:– At least 10 days before release, publishers, agencies and organizations have to submit three

copies to the Ministry of Culture and Communication, and two copies in case they print less than 300 copies.

– The agencies and organizations licensed publishing under the provincial People's Committee, have to submit two copies to the provincial People's Committee beside the above stipulated.

• After the release of publications, publishers, agencies and organizations that are licensed must submit five copies to the National Library of Vietnam, in cases releasing less than 300 copies, then submit two copies.

DECISION No.102/206/QD-BVHTTArticle 3: Time limit for deposit and amount of deposited

publications: At least 10 days before release, publishers, agencies and organizations have to

deposit publications by number as follows:

1. For publication first published or republished with repairs, additions:a) Publishers, agencies, organizations have to deposit three copies to the Publication Department

of Vietnam (in case under 300 copies released, then deposit two copies)

b) Agencies and organizations licensed by the Department of Culture and Information shall deposit with the Publication Department of Vietnam as stipulated in Point a of this Clause, and also have to deposit two copies to the Department of Culture and Information.

2. For publications reproduced without repair and no additional provisions have to deposit as stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article, but only with one version.

2. Circulation and exchange of documents between libraries in the country and abroad.

3. To receive publications deposited in accordance with the Publishing Law, the doctoral thesis of Vietnamese citizens protected in Vietnam and in foreign countries and of foreign citizens protected in Vietnam.
