To plan and design a butterfly garden in Thalawathugoda to increase the diversity of the Biodiversity Study Park
To carry out surveys for Butterflies, their host plants and nectar plants
To investigate about the different plants (host plants and nectar plants) and other environmental factors that affect butterflies
To Implement and maintain the vegetation of the butterfly garden in an eco-friendly approach
To the public and facilitate school children/researches to conduct experiments and further researches on butterflies

CONCLUSION• So far 43 butterfly
species, belong to 5 families have been identified.
• Forest gardening concept was used.
• Nearly 40 plants have been planted and all the invasive and exotic plants were omitted.
• During the estimated time, supporting infrastructures have been created.
• 100% Eco-friendly fertilizer have been used.
