Deployed in a distributed network architecture
SS7 CISCO SLT
SIP. H.323
The SVI_MGC allows carriers to deploy a fully distributed network architecture – with signalling/ media gateways deployed at remote POPs backhauling SS7 signalling over SIGTRAN M2UA/ M2PA/ M3UA into a centralised MGC.
This provides centralised routing capabilities, centralised billing and can allow carriers to present a single SS7 point code to all their SS7 POPs.
