Angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels from existing ones) is an important process in the growth of malignant tumors1,2

An association between VEGF and angiogenesis, malignancy, and metastasis has been established1,2

Many pro- and anti-angiogenic cellular factors regulate angiogenesis1,2
