The Terrible Perfect Present

Jn 1:1-2, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.

• Jesus is the perfect present from God to sinners.

• Jesus was and is the only human who was able to obey God’s perfect Law; lived a perfect life and then completely paid for our sins with his sinless life.

• Jn 1:12, Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

• Jn 1:13, Children who were born, not of blood, or of the will of man but born of God.
