1. A Wise & Understanding People

Need clarity in what we say, hear and think. A lot more than “knowledge”

E.g. The Christian view of marriage.• A harsh and extreme message lacks wisdom &

understanding.• It misrepresents God and His truth by ignoring

the whole.

Thoughtfulness & insight to grasp the interconnections between one Biblical truth and another.

2. Truth commended to our conscience

Two essentials (2 Cor 4:2) No shameful, deceptive, underhand

To walk intimately with God we take Him as he is. Receiving everything we know so that it

commends itself to our conscience.• E.g. losing weight.

Move our walk with God beyond trite verses or moralistic choices. Let the Spirit speak to our consciences
