Over the last 15 years I have distilled the most important astrological principles into a system that has given me, my clients and students remarkable, consistent and repeatable results.

These are approaches and principles work in all astrological situations, if learned and understood correctly. Natal Charts / Event Charts / Synastry Between 2 People / By Transit in the Sky Related to the Natal Chart / Etc.

They even work in relationship to other sciences, be they Vedic or Western. It is for this reason that I have not only taught highly advanced students Ayurveda and Astrology, Yoga and Astrology - but I have also recently begun to connect Astrology to Western Sciences, most notably neuro science and Quantum physics.

In fact, my work connecting Vedic astrology to Western Sciences is getting a lot of attention. So much so that I have been asked to present a session at the upcoming “Science and Non-Duality Conference” on the subject of Vedic astrology Neuro science and Quantum Physics. SAND has such notable thinkers as Deepak Chopra, Stan Grof, John Hagelin and others.

1. What is life/why are we here?

2. What is astrology?

3. How does astrology show this truth?

4. What are the building blocks/forces in Astrology / God's chemistry set?

5. Memorization is not mastery, and is useless without the ability to interpret.

6. Planets are the forces of intelligence / Sattwa.

7. Signs are the feeling/psychological environment / Rajas.

8. Houses sure the tangible form of our karma / Tamas.

9. Nakshatra's show our spiritual heritage.

10. The zodiac is a holistic Mandala, not 12 separate signs.

11. Our shared karma comes from the planets as Karakas.

12. The functional nature of a planet determines how we experience the Karaka.

13. Planetary dignity (relationship of the planet to its ruler) mainly shows intelligence.

14. Planetary aspects and yogas (the relationship between house rulers) show inner conflicts and strengths.

15. Several other planetary conditions are also important. Retrograde, combustion, hemming, Avasthas (Jagraad, Baladi, Deeptadi, Lajittadi, Shayanadi), Dig bala, Chesta bala - to name a few.

16. Yogas show the results / quality of these conflicts and strengths when their cycles / dasha's run.

17. Planetary ruler ships (by sign and Nakshatra) show when Karma's ripen.

18. Planets in transit (in the sky) influence and shape karma, within the structure of the dasha.

19. These principles are also applied to the relevant harmonic chart, showing all indicators.

20. These principles work in all situations, if learned and understood correctly. Natal Charts / Event Charts / Synastry Between 2 People / By Transit in the Sky Related to the Natal Chart / Etc.

21. Exact degrees matter in all situations.

APPLICATION OF THESE FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES FOR READING INDIVIDUAL CHARTS

22. The qualities of the ascendant shows the "unique self" in this lifetime. (The Sun is our universal/un-embodied Self.)

23. The nature of each planet as a house ruler (usually as ruling two houses), from the ascendant is of vital importance. This functional status determines the nature of the individuals karma.

24. The relationship of the house ruler to the Karaka (both in a fixed sense and a temporary sense) shows the inherent amount of ease or stress with any given area of life.

25. The ruling planet shows the strategy employed to express/discover this unique self.

26. Everything that affects the ruling planet, or the first house, impacts on the identity of the individual.

27. The ruling planet by transit is of utmost importance at all times.

28. Any planet by transit affecting the lagna lord from the natal chart or the 1st house will have a major impact.

29. These principles from #28 apply for all houses and indications in any dash cycle. (E.G. In the dasha of the tenth lord, also look to planets by transit influencing the natal 10th lord and / or natal 10th house.

30. In general, transits are to be measured from the natal Ascendant for results.
