During the 1980’s, MMR became a methodological movement in social and behavioural sciences

Tashakkori A, Teddlie C. Handbook of mixed methods in social & behavioral research. Thousand Oaks, Calif.: SAGE Publications; 2003:768.

MMR can be traced back to 1959, when Campbell and Fisker formalized the practice of triangulating data from more than one research method as part of a validation process

The development and use of the Mixed Method Innovation Model

-MMR improves the insight to the Need

-MMR increases data of effects

-MMIM integrates MMR with BioDesign

-We hope MMIM can improve implementation
