Texas  Animal  Health  Commission  (TAHC)  

Vesicular  Stomatitis  (VS)  in  Texas  Update    

Since  the  September  24  update,   the  Texas  Animal  Health  Commission  (TAHC)  has  not  received  confirmation  of  any  new  Vesicular   Stomatitis   (VS)   cases   in   Texas.   Four  premises  have  been   released   in  Bastrop  County  and  all  premises  have  been  released  in  Lee  County.  

To   date,   62   premises   in   13   Texas   counties   have   been   confirmed  with   VS.   Currently   affected   counties   include:  Bastrop,  Guadalupe,  McLennan,  and  Travis  counties.  Of  the  62  premises,  55  have  been  released.  Nine  counties  have  been  released  from  quarantine:  Jim  Wells,  Falls,  Hidalgo,  Kinney,  Lee,  Nueces,  San  Patricio,  Val  Verde  and  Williamson  counties.
