Despite the economic recession experiencedall over the world, Turkey still ranked as the

th10 largest crude steel producer in the world ndand the 2 largest in Europe with a production of

29.1 million tonnes. The Turkish iron - steel sector is growing rapidly, firmly making Turkey one of the largest producers of crude steel in the world. Undergoing investments shows that; Turkey's crude steel production capacity is expected to reach 55 million tonnes in 2015 from 42.7 million tonnes of 2010.

Turkey's iron - steel producers, whose products are used in every corner of the world, have become one of the world's major metallurgy product suppliers with their growing capacity and increasing competitive power.

Taking into consideration the demand in the sector, for the first time this year a seperate area will be allocated to the iron-steel producers and steel service centers.
