My reaction was like everyone elses: profound sadness, anger, even despair. But as our lives took those very first steps of trying to return to normal with our children, like returning to school for the first time since that day, I suspect my perspective and my routine was different than my perspective and my routine was different than the many of the parents reluctantly dropping their children off that day. Since I saw Shelley Klingermans documentary, Terror in American Schools: Are Your Kids Safe? I am a better parent, a more astute citizen and in many ways a formidable force in preventing anything like Newtown happening again

What Shelley has done for all of us is to give us the tools. You dont need a gun, a taser, a bulletproof vest; all you need to arm yourself with your senses and intuition. More powerful than any weapon, an army of vigilant parents, teachers and administrators can go a very long way in preventing another heartbreaking event. Do yourself, your family and your community a favor, take the time to watch Terror in American Schools: Are Your Kids Safe?, and I challenge you to not be affected. I promise, youll never know your childrens school or daycare the same again. This is where good begins to get the upper hand on evil.- Dean Del Cazo, parent (Denver, CO)
