Wind Mapping Process
International wind expert hascompleted an extensive wind
mapping process for Myanmar.
Micro-scale wind modeling carried
out at a grid spacing of 1 km
resolution.
Wind Speed determined at hub height
80m.
Overall estimated wind speed mean to
be 5.5 m/s and up to 7 m/s in some
areas close to the border of Thailand.
Uncertainty is inherent in this modeling
process.
Modeling has allowed us to choose the
best positioning for approximately three wind
speed recording towers, 9

Conclusion
There are many challenges but we are able to
overcome them with strong support from
ADB.
We would like to invite companies and
financial institutions to support technologies
and financial to involve wind power project in
Myanmar.
