¿Reconoces el sacramento que se celebra en la primera lectura de los Hechos de los Apóstoles? Cuando Pedro y Juan impusieron las manos en los que habían bautizado, recibieron el Espíritu Santo en el sacramento de la Confirmación. La lectura de la primera carta de Pedro, y el pasaje del Evangelio de Juan, consideran los resultados de nuestro bautismo y confirmación. Pedro nos recuerda que lo más probable es que tengamos que sufrir por nuestras creencias. En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús nos habla claramente sobre el Espíritu Santo, llamándolo “Defensor”, que estará junto a nosotros para defendernos. De manera muy significativa, Jesús promete a sus discípulos y a todos nosotros, “No los dejaré huérfanos”. Nunca ha dejado a sus seguidores huérfanos. Siempre hemos tenido al Espíritu Santo para guiarnos.

La profesión de fe

Toda persona cree en algo de manera profun-da. Como cristianos, manifestamos el conjun-to de nuestras creencias en un escrito que se desarrolló durante el Siglo III de la historia humana. En el año 325, doce años des-pués de que se dejó de perseguir a los cristia-nos, se convocó a una reunión de los obispos en la ciudad de Nicea, actual Turquía, reunión a la que se le llamó Concilio de Nicea. Algunos de los obispos asistentes aún llevaban en sus cuerpos las marcas dejadas a causa de la tortura por haber proclamado con valentía su fe en Cristo, por haber vivi-do de manera heroica su fe cristiana. Durante esta reunión escribieron el “Signo”, que aho-ra llamamos Credo Niceno, es buena parte del Credo que proclamamos durante los domingos y las solemnidades. La segunda parte, por decirlo así, se escribió en otro Con-cilio, el de Constantinopla actual Estambul, en Turqu-ía, en el año 381. El texto escrito a partir de estos dos concilios es nuestro Credo o “Símbolo niceno-constantinopolitano”, en honor a los dos Concilios. Este símbolo o profesión de fe, puede hacerse también me-diante la renovación de las promesas bautismales.

INSCRIPCIONES PARA LAS CLASES DE CATECISMO EN JUNIO

El lunes 2 de Junio, em-pezaremos a inscribir a los niños de 6 a 10 años de edad para las clases de catecismo.

Pueden pasar e inscribir a sus niños a la oficina del Ministerio Hispano por las tardes. También los domingo después de misa. Durante el mes de Junio pueden recibir 50% de des-cuento.

Los niños que ya hicieron su Primera Comunión, también pueden venir a clases de catecismo.
