Dear Parents and friends, A huge thank you to everyone for attending our Education activities last week. It was a beautiful day for our Open Day and ‘Building the Education Revolution’ Recognition Ceremony so the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We received a lot of positive feedback from Mrs Bird about our grounds and also the work being done by our students, dedicated staff and parents. Next week five senior students will be attending the Illawarra Regional Debating Camp in Bateman’s Bay. This is a terrific chance for them to sharpen their skills and learn new techniques. I am very grateful to Mrs Hancock who is accompany- ing Sian, Pip, Jessica, Lauryn and Michelle. The Southern Stars rehearsals are in full swing and our school tickets to the show are almost sold. Last week and on Monday many students attended Croome Road Sporting Complex and Wollongong Entertainment Centre for rehearsals. These days are extremely busy and tiring for students and teachers. As in past years, however, I’m sure it will be well worth the effort! Thank you to those of you who have been bringing in ‘shop for your school’ and ‘Earn and Learn’ dockets from Woolworths and Coles. Last year we received much needed sporting equipment which is used by our students each week. It was great to receive so much through such small effort. P &C NEWS As most of you would be aware, our

    P&C President, Joanne has resigned

    from her position.

On behalf of the staff and students of

Lindsay Park Public School, I would

like to sincerely thank Joanne for the

great contribution she has made to the school. Joanne has repre-

sented the school in an admirable way and has been the driving

force behind many projects, one of those being our very suc-

cessful fete. She has always made herself available to the school

on formal occasions, often at short notice. Joanne’s outstanding

efforts are acknowledged and valued by all of us at LPPS.

Our incoming President is Trish and our Junior Vice President

is Joel . Congratulations to you both and thank you for making

this very worthwhile commitment to the Lindsay Park Public

    School Community.

KINDERGARTEN ENROLMENTS FOR 2012 Do you have a child who will be starting school at Lindsay Park in 2012, or know anyone who is intending to enrol their child for kindergar-

    ten next year?

Enrolment forms are now available from the school office. Please collect your form, fill it in and return at your earliest convenience.

Kindergarten Orientation usually takes place in October, after the school holidays. We will need students names well before September so parents can be notified of Orientation dates prior to school finishing before the term three holidays, which begin on Friday, 23rd September.
