    Public Participation: Superintendent Ron Cabrera introduced Lanny Hass as the new project manager for the

    Integration Project for the Colorado Legacy Foundation and funded by the Bill and MelindaGates Foundation; reported he visited six schools including Big Thompson where heinteracted with parents during this months Pop-In-With-Ron; Notified the board that he,Alicia Orebo and Laurie Shearer are planning on visiting all district sites before Winter Breakon a listening tour and be available to staff to hear their thoughts and concerns regarding thepresent state of their work and the district; On Monday at Mountain View, he attended thepresentation of a donation from the Loveland Sculpture Invitational Group that presented$10,000 in checks ranging from $150 to $1,000 to 25 schools that participated in theEmerging Artists project.

    Board comments: Lola Johnson announced the Thompson Education Foundations Legacy forLu event on Thursday, November 17 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Studio Vino in Loveland toraise funds for art programs in the district; Janice Marchman reported she was at LincolnElementary last Thursday and had conversations about school closure and schoolimprovement plans; Leslie Young mentioned she played ball with students at WinonaElementary.

    During the Discussion portion of the meeting, the board: Received and discussed a quarterly discipline report Received and discussed a written report on the 2011 summer options Received and discussed the 2011 certified October count report Received and discussed a written report on the LHS roofing system design Received a written report on the declaration of surplus white fleet vehicles Received and discussed a written report on the proposed purchase of white fleet vehicles Received and discussed the financial report for October

    Coming up This meeting will be aired on Thursday at 3 p.m. and Friday at 7 p.m. on ComcastCable Channel 14 or streams on www.ThompsonSchools.org Stepping Up, a program featuringpartnerships between schools and the community, will feature National Honor Society students fromThompson Valley. Guests include TVHS students Sara Trout and Andrea Brush. The show will air onComcast Cable Channel 14 Nov. 19-Dec. 2 at noon and 8 p.m. and is streamed from the district website at www.thompsonschools.org.
