Observations:• extra letters are only added to the end of • extra letters may be added to the beginning and end of عر

•  نا ر   ـ  is used in the dual form for ا ب ط and با in the ع ر  

• ر   ـ   is used for بطا 1 male and ا 1 female

Benefit: the اف of the 3rd

form

is not pronounced, though it (ھم)

must be written. It is called أف وا (the alif of protection), to

protect verbs like واأ ذ   (they took)

where the و is not joined to the

body of the verb & may be

mistaken for the conjunction  وmeaning ‘and’.
