The Kansas Public Transit Association Annual Meeting & EXPO provides a

unique opportunity for peer networking and educational opportunities. Those

attending the conference represent all sectors: government, private industry, non-

profit, educational institutions, and many others. The KPTA Annual Meeting &

EXPO serves as one of the biggest gatherings of public transit professionals in

Kansas, as well as those directly and indirectly involved in public transit. This is an

opportunity to exchange ideas with others from across the country, talk to

decision-makers and learn of new opportunities.

We are excited with our lineup this year!

Out keynote Speaker is Mark Aesch. As CEO of the Rochester Genesee

Regional Transportation Authority, Mark Aesch helped take a money-losing, under-

performing organization and transform it into a public sector leader - that has

actually cut fares for customers and reduced reliance on taxpayer dollars

General Session topics were chosen with input from membership and

professionals across Kansas, ensuring they are relevant and informative. This year’s

topics range best practices to coordinated mobility management. Break-out meetings

Wednesday include KDOT and FTA.

We have planned a great Monday night welcome reception, a Tuesday

awards lunch, a Tuesday evening dinner and Game Show Trivia Challenge, and a

Wednesday Annual Meeting lunch.

KPTA is here to help you get answers to questions facing your organization

during day-to-day operations in public transit. There are countless opportunities for

you to network with vendors, peers and others. And, we want you to have fun!

The KPTA 2011 Annual Meeting & EXPO wants to ensure your time is well-

spent and your experience provides you with information you can use year round.

As budgets are cut and finances get tight for

organizations, conferences have

become more essential. Conferences

have become THE opportunity for professionals to

network and find workable solutions to problems facing their

industry.

Conferences are not an expense to be

trimmed. They are the No. 1 resource for

individuals to get infor-mation that moves their organization

forward.
