Designer Selection Board selects Designers, Programmers and Construction Managers for most public agencies. The DSB is an 11 member, independent, volunteer board, the majority of whom are Architects and Engineers. DCAMM has a non-voting position.

•3 Architects, 3 Engineers and 2 Public Members are appointed by the Governor.

•1 Architect appointed by the Boston Society of Architects (BSA).

•1 Engineer appointed by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

•1 General Contractor appointed by The Associated General Contractors (AGC).

Each member is appointed for a 2 year term. The DSB meets bi-weekly to award projects to applicant design teams. Most larger and more complicated design projects are awarded through an interview process. Review of all applicant proposals are subject to the state’s open meeting laws.
