Reading with your child can prepare them for testing.

At CES the Istation testing (reading fluency) is the first week of each month. Helping them prepare for the test by simply reading together can make a huge difference in their scores. This will show you as a parent where your child is hav-ing difficulties in their reading. Working together will build their confidence and prepare them for the next test.

For more information on the test you can visit their website at,

www.istation.com.

Thank you to all of you who came out to the

BES Fall Carnival!

REMINDER’S:

Reports cards went home on October 27TH. Please let me

know if you do not receive your child’s report card.

Attendance plays a HUGE part in our children’s education. When they are not in school they are missing important teaching that sometimes teachers can’t go back and reteach. It is imperative our students

are at school on time and stay the entire day

We have 25 Santa Ana students at BES

For the 1st 9 weeks we had :

28 days students were absent and no one called in for them.

39 days students were excused.

30 tardies

39 early check outs

Please help keep our children in school and learning.

Homework:

Homework needs to be turned in daily or weekly. All students must read nightly. Please

read your child’s agenda nightly. Reading logs also must be

signed nightly.

Students are required to write in their agenda daily, this will show you what homework they have.

Students that are tardy to school in the morning, it is required that the parent bringing the student will have to come in and sign the student in at the office.

If your child is out sick please make sure you have called the school to excuse them for the day.

If you need homework for them, leave the request with the front office, or you can call me to get that to you.
