Dear parents and community members,
We have had an amazing fun final week! It has been wonderful to move
around the school and see the smiling faces of a community of learners who
are celebrating such success and friendship over the year. There is a
tangible feel of happiness and joy across the school.
Classes are taking time out to celebrate together through excursions to
beaches and pools, they are having class parties and exchanging messages
of well wishes for the future. The teachers have finalised their reports
and are relaxing - a little. The year 7s have had their graduation and been
to their high schools and are more than ready to take on the challenges
waiting for them.
Included in this additional newsletter are our final award recipients for the
year. Well done to all students who have been receiving small class awards.
Students glue these awards into their school award book and when they
have 10 awards, they receive a blue certificate at assembly. Teachers have
passed these award books to the new classes ready to keep collecting next
year.
Our graduating year 7s had a fabulous night on Wednesday night having
dinner at Nunyara Conference Centre and presenting their slideshows and
moving speeches in our school gym. They all conducted themselves with
maturity and we are so proud of them. Enclosed in this newsletter are the
awards given to year 7s.
Monday we finally held our SRC Carnival! The weather was almost a repeat
of term 3 but we determined to go ahead rain or shine. Luckily the sun
shone and everyone had a fabulous time!

Marie-Louise has been absent this week due to her father being unwell. He lives in Canberra and she was
lucky to be able to fly over to be with him. We wish her well and hope that he is recovering quickly.
We have included in this newsletter our updated uniform policy. This was sent recently but we have not
enforced it yet. We will however be looking for all students to be in the correct uniform from the start of
next year. The changes are small so please have a close look at the colours for pants etc.
Finally, we would like to thank Fiona Brady who spent a very hot “Showcase” day filming all of your children.
A separate email is being sent today with links to a private Youtube Channel where you will be able to view
your child’s / childrens showcase.
We would like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday. We hope that you have the chance to see family and
friends who you may not have had the chance to see for sometime. Thank you so much for your patience this
year. It has been one like no other and the grace you have shown teachers and staff has really been felt.
We are all immensely proud of the astounding growth and development of all of the children at Bellevue this
year and are looking forward to a wonderful 2021.
On behalf of us all, Margot

Carnival was postponed in term three due to a forecasted
storm but that didn’t stop us from raising a huge $1,136.
Thank you to all families for buying tickets and donating money.
All classes worked hard and played harder on the day, making the
2020 SRC (student representative Committee) Carnival a great success.
The money will be donated to the following
three charities, as chosen by the SRC executives:
Local charity - Muddy Puddles Foundation
Aims to build lifelong connections for SA children with
chronic & complex bowel & bladder conditions
National charity - Mission Australia
Helping Australians find houses, homeless support for families,
empowering troubled young people
International charity - World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
Global action to stop wild animals becoming
extinct and habitats being destroyed
Thank you for your contributions!
High hopes
Our class (Mrs. Potter’s) has decided that we need
to move on from all the negatives of 2020.
We have moved on from COVID talk and lock-
downs and are focusing on the positive future and
is accepting that we now have to live with COVID.
We want to focus on what we can achieve and not
what we can’t achieve because that will only bring
us down, living in the past will only make us more
worried, ad and anxious rather than if we live in
the now and focus on all the great things of 2020.
We’ve been focusing on our positive goals and
dreams for 2021, and working to achieve them,
after all room 19 has high high hopes.

Bellevue Heights Primary School has a school dress code policy. The uniform selected is flexible, based around the
school colours of maroon and sky blue with a variety of interchangeable pieces allowing for choice and individual
preferences.
The Bellevue Heights Primary School school uniform policy is compulsory and includes clothing suitable for every-
day physical activities, as well as academic pursuits.
The school believes that the wearing of a school uniform creates a positive school identity and public image. We
believe our uniform items maintain choice for individuals, are mindful of protection, allow for a variety of physical
