Meeting around South Wales

Sunday 3rd April will see us at All Nations Church take up our first collection for the Cardiff „Foodbank‟. The „Foodbank‟ is a project to help and support those suffering financial hardship and who are facing the reality of being unable to feed themselves or their families.

We will be collecting specific food items, therefore further information will follow on what to donate and how you can play a greater part in making a great impact on those in need in the city.

Well done Femi for being the first

person to submit something to the

enews to bless the Body, thank you!

„Redeemed‟ by Femi Olatunji

In your wealth of treasure And your majestic splendour

You created all things for your pleasure Because your mercy is without favour I want to serve you with all pleasure

For your grace is a gesture Of love I cannot measure

Sent from your awesome grandeur

Be my sins, filled to the brim When my guilt and shame

Left a crimson stain Thank you, I‟ve been redeemed

For in my death, you have no gain But if I live, your work is fulfilled

A ready writer? Do you have a testimony? Why not send it to [email protected] and bless the church? Thanks.

The world is reacting with shock at the tragedy that has devastated Japan. On Friday 11th March, a massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the north-eastern coast of Japan, triggering a ten metre high Tsunami that swept away everything in its path. It has already claimed the lives of an estimated 10,000 people and in recent days has threatened the stability of a Nuclear power plant leading to worries about radiation leaks and an airborne threat on a much wider scale.

How do we as Christians respond to a tragedy like this? First of all we pray in all circumstances (1 Thess 5:17). Please pray for the nation of Japan, for your brothers and sisters in Christ and for the lives of those who do not know the Lord. Pray for the recovery and pray for those who find themselves grieving.

Secondly we hold onto and confess the Word that says that God is a good God. We may not know the answer as to „why‟, but we strongly affirm that God is sovereign, unshaken, and forever good.

We live in a fallen world where Jesus remains the only hope for it. (Psalm 22:27) Aid agencies will do all they can and relief workers will work tirelessly to find every last survivor, but we must pray that the Name of Jesus be lifted high , that whosoever should call on him shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Welcome to this week‟s „Puzzled‟ section of enews.

Sometimes life can seem very busy, can‟t it? As if there aren‟t enough hours in the day.

But praise God that he has actually given us all the time we need; we just need to use it wisely.

And what better way to use your time than to find five minutes to sit down with a cup of your beverage of choice and crack this week‟s Puzzled - sayings all about „time‟
