- ( (In vast, rich and multidimensional seerat literature of Sub-continent, the writings have been accomplished not only by Muslims but also by the Christians. In earlier times, the literature produced by western priests, who were serving here, which came on scenario, included orientalist criticism. Afterward the critical writings from local preachers were included in there. The critics took the support of unauthentic and fabricated traditions and misleading interpretation, over-exaggeration and incongruities. Their criticism was not based on any new dimensions, instead it followed the old traditions of western criticism As a rejoinder to this criticism, the writings related to explanatory, countered re-interpreted literature by Muslims were produced which also unfolded superficiality of this misleading criticism. This polemic literature is historical record of the political, literary and critical attitudes of both groups. It is the need of hour that these attitudes must be avoided in current times and social harmony and religious tolerance must be promoted at large.
