Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is an institution deemed to be university notified by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India vide notification No. F.9-46/2004-U.3 of the GOI, New Delhi and u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide UGC Notification No. F.No.6-1-6/2004 (CPP-1) dated 3rd March, 2007. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth has seven constituent institutes which offer Under Graduate programmes like MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Pharm, Pharm D, B.Sc (Nursing), PB B.Sc. (Nursing), ANM, GNM and B.Sc. (Paramedical) etc., Post Graduate programmes like MD, MS, MDS, MPT, M.Sc. (Nursing), M.Pharm, Pharm D PB, MBA (Healthcare), M.Sc. (Para-Medical), M.Sc (Medical) and Master in Public Health (MPH), M.Sc (Paramedical) and PG Diploma in Clinical Research etc., Diploma program in Para-Medical Sciences and Super-speciality program like M.Ch. and D.M. All the programmes offered by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth are approved by statutory bodies viz. MCI, DCI, PCI, INC, IAP and UGC. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth imparts quality medical education and training and provide affordable, scientific, evidence based health care, inculcate a culture of enquiry in faculty and students, leading to a life time habit of ethical practice and community oriented research. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is awarded with NAAC 'A' Grade with 3.53 CGPA out of 4 which is highest in state of Gujarat. Moreover, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is the only University which is conferred with UGC-CATEGORY-1 status.

Ÿ 1360 bedded, multidiscipline, super specialty Dhiraj hospital, central clinical lab and well

equipped mobile clinics are provided for teaching, learning and clinical training and uniformity

in exposure of students to practical and clinical requirement.

Ÿ The curriculum given by the statute is value added by incorporating elements of unique

practice of “Evidence Based Education System”. This ensures emphasis on exposing

students very early on to elements of evidence searching, validation and their proper

utilization in patient care and research.

3. RECOGNITION AND ACCREDITATION

Ÿ MPT program is recognized by Indian Association of Physiotherapist and register with

Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy.

Ÿ M.Sc. (Nursing) and Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care programmes are recognized by Indian

Nursing Council and Gujarat Nursing Council.

Ÿ Pharm. D. PB and M.Pharm programmes are recognized by Pharmacy Council of India.

Ÿ MBA (Healthcare) program is approved by UGC

Ÿ M.Sc (Paramedical) and PG Diploma in Clinical Research are approved by University.

Ÿ The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University has been awarded with highest NAAC

'A' grade with 3.53 CGPA out of 4, (the only University in the state of Gujarat) by National

Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Ÿ The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University has been conferred with Category-1

status by UGC.

Admission for M.P.T./ M.Sc. (N) / NPCC / M.Pharm. / Pharm D. (PB) / M.B.A. (Healthcare) /M.Sc.

(Medical), MPH, courses in all the M.Sc (Paramedical) and PG Diploma in Clinical Research

categories defined hereunder shall be made on the basis of merit scored in SVCET/ Qualifying

examination. In addition, the student seeking admission to M.P.T./ M.Sc. (N) / NPCC / M.Pharm.

/ Pharm.D (PB) / M.B.A. (Healthcare) / M.Sc. (Medical), MPH, M.Sc (Paramedical) and PG

Diploma in Clinical Research shall also meet other eligibility criteria given by respective

statutory bodies.

In case the number of applications for a particular course are either less than or equal to the

allotted number of seats then, the selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of inter-

se-merit of the candidate at the qualifying examination taking into consideration the preference

given by the candidate and availability of seat in the branch/discipline of his/her choice.

Tie Breaker

1. Candidate with less attempt will be given preference.

2. A candidate securing higher percentage of marks in the aggregate of marks at the first,

second, third & final year exam taken (as applicable) all together will be preferred.

3. A candidate securing higher percentage of marks in the aggregate of marks in the final year

examinations will be preferred.

4. A candidate securing higher percentage of marks PCB/PCM/overall in the 12+2

examinations will be preferred.

5. A candidate securing higher percentage of aggregate marks in S.S.C examinations will

be preferred

6. The age will be considered and who is older in age will be preferred.

7. The tie-breaker points can be consider either singly or all together as the case may be.

Admission for M.P.T./ M.Sc. (N) / NPCC / Pharm D. (PB) / M. Pharm. / MBA (Healthcare) / M.Sc.

(Medical), M.Sc (Paramedical) and PG Diploma in Clinical Research courses in all the MPH,

As per the policy of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth if the number of Applications for M.P.T./ M.Sc. (N) /

NPCC / Pharm D.(PB) / M. Pharm. / MBA (Healthcare)/ M.Sc. (Medical), M.Sc MPH,

(Paramedical) and PG Diploma in Clinical Research programs are less than the intake capacity

of the respective courses, then admissions will be on the basis of inter-se-merit at qualifying

examination.

5. ADMISSON PROCESS

The student needs to undergo with following process for admissions. 1. Students need to submit duly filled application form online or to the Admission Cell.2. The candidate short-listed on merit-list in each category will be called for counseling.3. The candidate will have to appear for counseling at their own cost.4. The physical presence of the candidate and one of the parents/ guardian at the time of

counseling is essential.5. Absence of the candidate at the specified time, date and venue will result in forfeiture of

any claim for admission and university will not be responsible for the same.6. Asking a candidate to report for counseling does not mean that he/she will be admitted to

the course. The actual admission will depend upon the course and seat availability, when his/her turn comes in order of his /her inter-se-merit position.

7. The candidate has to prove his/her identity at reception desk and sign in the attendances register.

8. The candidate has to present his /her original testimonial of all the documents.9. The documents of the candidates will be scrutinized by the authorized officer and the

eligibility of the candidates for admission is ascertained from the original documents and if found eligible, the Eligibility Certificate will be issued by authorized officer.

10. Students granted admission will have to secure the payment of the fees for balance years by

providing an undertaking and unconditional bank guarantee in favour of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth

Deemed to be University for the payable amount which can beenchased by Sumandeep

Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University in the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves

the course mid-stream.

11. To facilitate, at the option of the students, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University will

accept un-dated account payee cheque towards the payable fee/s amount to be drawn in the

name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University alongwith an affidavit and covering

letter asserting that the cheque is in lieu of security for payment of fees and can be encashed in

the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves the course mid-stream.

12. After collecting the eligibility certificate, the candidate must present himself/herself before the admission committee which allots the provisional admission after giving due weightage to the preference of the candidate and availability of seats.

13. Once the provisional admission letter is issued, the candidate should report to account department to complete fee payment formalities.

14. After payment formalities including securing of future fees are over candidate will be issued admission order.

Note:

1. As per policy, in case in number of applications is less than the intake of the program,

entrance examination will not be conducted for the same program. In this case, the

admission shall be offered to the eligible candidate based on inter-se-merit of qualifying

examination.

2. In case, if number of applications are less than the intake of the program or if seats remain

vacant after 1st counselling, candidate may submit online application for the admission in for

the subsequent round of admission. However, the admission shall be offered to the eligible

candidate based on inter-se-merit of qualifying examination.

3. The admission committee of SVDU has right to modify the dates of particular program

keeping in mind the admission schedules of the other institution at state and national level

A Pass in the following examinations

a) B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an

institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the

maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B.Pharm.)

b) Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI

approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or

should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which

the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Note: It is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective university

where the candidate had passed his/her qualifying degree (B.Pharm.)

A pass in B. Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section

Ÿ The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post

Ÿ Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Candidates admitted into the Master of Physiotherapy course should have passed the B.P.T.

degree examination of this university or B.P.T. / B.Physio. or B.Sc (PT) degree examination of

any other recognized university accepted by the authority of this university as equivalent thereto

and has completed six months compulsory rotatory internship in a teaching institute or other

institutions recognized by this university and the National body of Physiotherapists. It is

desirable that applicants should have worked as a qualified physiotherapist for at least one year

in a Hospital / Institution prior to admission to the post-graduate course.

Candidate admitted in MPT Course must be a member of Gujarat State Council for

Physiotherapy (GSCPT) and / or apply for the same immediately after admission

Candidate who have MBBS/ BDS/ BPT/ BAMS/ BHMS or any other graduate degree

recognized by University are eligible.

Those candidates holding valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score are exempted from this entrance

exam.

1. Bachelors degree in any stream of Science with Microbiology / biotechnology / Biochemistry

/ Chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Life Sciences or B.Pharm / M.B.B.S / B.D.S./ BAMS/ BHMS/

B.U.M.S. / B.P.T form any recognized Indian university or equivalent qualification.

Note:

I. The fees mentioned above is per annum.

ii. The student should bring account payee cheque/s for fees in the name of Sumandeep

Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University.

iii. Student also must bring cheque/s for securing future fee.

iv. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth accepts payment only towards admission fee, tuition fee and

other fees as notified.

v. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth does not charge capitation fee or donation in whatever

nomenclature or form.

vi. College Deposit is refunded without interest after completion of course and on clearing all

dues of the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.

vii. Every student shall pay tuition fee and other fee, as prescribed by the Sumandeep

Vidyapeeth within the due date notified. The annual fee prescribed will be the same for

entire duration of the course.

viii. If the fees paid after due date, the student will have to pay fine of Rs. 150/- per day.

12. PAYMENT OF FUTURE FEE; UNDERTAKING INFORMATION

stThe classes for Academic Year 2019-20 shall begin on 01 August, 2019. If any change in

academic calender will be notified separately.

11. START OF ACADEMIC YEAR

1. Students granted admission will have to secure the payment of the fees for balance years by

providing an undertaking and unconditional bank guarantee in favour of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth

Deemed to be University for the payable amount which can beenchased by Sumandeep

Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University in the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves

the course mid-stream.

2. To facilitate, at the option of the students, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University will

accept un-dated account payee cheque towards the payable fee/s amount to be drawn in the

name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University alongwith an affidavit and covering

letter asserting that the cheque is in lieu of security for payment of fees and can be encashed in the

event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves the course mid-stream.

3. If on verification, the information and/or documents furnished by the candidate at the time of

admission is found to be fraudulent /forged and the admission is cancelled by virtue of this, in such

cases too, the cheque/s submitted by the candidate in lieu of security for payment of fees for

balance years, shall be encashed.

4. Students of Jain Minority Category taking admission in PG course- MPT / M. Sc (Nursing) / NPCC

/ Pharm. D (PB) / M. Pharm. / MBA (Healthcare) /M. Sc Medical / MPH will have 10% concession in

the form of scholarship in their fees.

5. In the event of the student admitted under the Jain Minority Category Leaves the course anytime

after admission, apart from 1, 2, and 3 above for him / her the following terms and conditions will

also be applicable:

13. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE COURSE AND REFUND POLICY

If a student chooses to withdraw from the programme of study in which he/she is enrolled, the

institution concerned shall follow the following five-tier system for the refund of fees* remitted

by the student.

NOTE: *

1. In case of (1) in the table above, the HEI concerned shall deduct an amount not more than 5% of the fees paid by the student, subject to a maximum of Rs. 5,000/- as processing charges from the refundable amount.

2. In case of (5) in the table above, the payment of the fees for balance years by redeeming unconditional bank guarantee/ cheques in favor of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth for the payable amount if the student leaves the course after the 30 days of formally - notified Last Date of admission or during middle of Course.

3. Fees shall be refunded by all HEIs to an eligible student within fifteen days from the date of receiving a written application from him/her in this regard.

B. Pay to the University the difference of fees between the fees prescribed for the Management

category seats and the Minority Category seats along with interest of 12% per year from the

date of admission till the date of payment
