Ø Project: Desalination plant, State of Qatar

Ø Area: Potable water tanks, 28,800m²

Ø Function: Coating and joint sealing

Ø Construction: Mai/June 2009

Ø Result: Evaluation from client „excellent“



Requirements:Ø potable water certifed

Ø fast curing surface coating

Ø no VOCs

Ø no cracking and stable features



Application:Ø joint filling with POLYUREA QuickFill

Ø primering of the joints

Ø flooding with salt water for testing

Ø concret prepare

Ø primering (DFT 150µm)

Ø aromatic coat QuickSpray Supreme W (DFT 2mm)

Ø Graco

Ø after 24h the tanks were filled with potable water

Ø Function: Refurbishment of the leaking roof

Ø Construction: October 2009

Ø Result: Flood test successful with no water ingress after 36h



Project description:Ø issues with water ingress

Ø leds to damaged stock

Ø leds to slip hazards

Ø leds to structural damage

Solution:Ø tough, seamless, waterproofing layer

Ø1.5mm tight weaved polypropylene geotextile


Ø QuickSpray POLYUREA Hybrid 2-part, RAL7005

Ø joint filling with 2-part QuickFill POLYUREA




Application:Ø removal of irregularities

Ø existing failed membrane was well cleaned

Ø removal of sharp projections

Ø geotextile was layed out over the existing membrane

Ø overlap should be a minimum of 100mm, cut to detail

Ø application of 2-part POLYUREA Hybrid & pure POLYUREA

Ø primer is not required

Ø Project: Public pool area, city of Augsburg,

Germany

Ø Area: Newly constructed outdoor pool, 1,500m²

Ø Function: Waterproofing, base coat, top coat

Ø Construction: May 2008

Ø Result: Evaluation from client „excellent“



Requirements:Ø potable water certifed


Ø good outdoor weahtering

Ø chorine-water resistance


Ø time effectiveness of application



Application:Ø building-up of construction tent

Ø concrete was prepared and cleaned

Ø surface was primed and sealed (DFT 0.6mm)

Ø water vapour proof

Ø base coat – QuickSpray Supreme W (DFT 3mm)

Ø within 24h the pigmented Top Coat (aliphatic)

was applied

Ø Graco

Ø project was completed in less than 10 days


Cartridge application – cold spray

Cold Spray – Low Pressure

• Equipment required:- Low pressure proportioning unit- Lower costs than high pressure units- Cartridge guns 125 psi / 6-8 bar air driven

with no power required

• Where to use:- Small application areas (up to 20m²)- Repair & maintenance project

• Key points:- Lower physical properties than hot sprays
