Operating principles of the Saniflo system

When the toilet

1. OVER 50 YEARSOF EXPERTISE

2. QUALITYSaniflo pumps and macerators aremanufactured in France, and comply

with the new European and Internationalstandards now in force (EN 12050-3,EN 12050-2 and EN 12050-1).Our manufacturing facility is qualitycertified to ISO 9001:2000 (issued byAFAQ, the French Quality CertificationAssociation).

All Saniflo pumps also comply withAustralian and New Zealand standardsand carry a 2 year warranty.

3. EXTRA FACILITIESA Saniflo macerator provides the idealsolution for installing sanitary facilitiesanywhere without having to engage inmajor restructural work. Our maceratingand grey waste water pumps allow you toinstall full kitchen, bathroom and laundryfacilities where it is impossible to do sousing traditional plumbing methods (egremote from the sewer, in basements etc).

We have designed our pumps to besimple to install and service, howevercorrect installation should be undertakenby a qualified installer to ensurecompliance with standards and tomaintain warranty.

4. QUIETER BY DESIGNAll motors are fitted on to resilientmounts that absorb the resonantvibrations when the equipment isoperating. This means that the noiselevels transmitted are very low.

5. MAINTAINING YOURSANI PUMP

A Saniflo installation is almost maintenancefree (apart from descaling which may be ascheduled maintenance needed dependingon water hardness levels).

To descale, disconnect the unit fromthe electricity supply and pour a doseof descaling product (e.g. 1/2 litre whitevinegar) into the bowl., diluted in 6 litres ofwater. Leave to soak for 1-2 hours and thenreconnect the unit to the electricity supply.To complete, flush the toilet.

Our macerators should only be used forevacuation of normal WC organic waste,toilet papers and household WC cleaners.

Items such as cotton wool, sanitaryproducts, wet wipes, hard objects, paints,oils, solvents and other chemicals shouldnot be evacuated through the Saniflounits as they may damage the unit.

6. PEACE OF MINDVia our network of subsidiaries andexclusive distributors, Saniflo providesAfter-Sales Service in all countries whereour macerators and pumps are sold.

NB: Our pumping systems are designed for the disposal of normal organic waste product, water or paper. They are not intended to replace kitchen wasteor sanitary waste disposal units and grease traps. Our pumps are ideally suited to domestic (eg family of 6 to 8) or light commercial applications.Where intensive usage, high temperature wastes or un-policed public access is likely, we recommend that our Commercial range is used. Our greywater products are designed to pump waste to drains in accordance with waste regulations. Accordingly, they should be installed after a grease trap andnot instead of one. As our policy is one of continuous product improvement we reserve the right to alter product specification and price without notice.All information in this publication is given in good faith. OR MACERATOR PUMP?GREY WATER PUMPS

Grey waste water is produced from generaldomestic and office processes such as dish or

glass washing, bathing and laundry duties.

Our grey waste water pump range is ideal forrenovating either your home or office, as eachpump allows you to install additional facilitiessuch as kitchens, kitchenettes, laundries, and evenshower and wash facilities anywhere youchoose, even if its remote from or below theexisting sewer line.

With the ability to pump grey waste water withoutthe need to rely on traditional gravity fed plumbingmethods, you wont need to cut concrete, orinterrupt your neighbours in an office or apartmentsituation, as waste lines can be concealed in wallcavities and ceiling voids.

MACERATOR PUMPS

If locating a toilet in your project, then a maceratorpump should be used. A macerator is a high speedmotor with blades that shreds organic and wastepaper matter into a fine slurry so that it can beevacuated through small bore pipe work.

With a range of macerating pumps capable ofaccepting waste from 2, 3, 4 or even 5 fixtures,your renovations wont rely on any major structuralwork as Saniflo pumps can be installed on top ofany finished floor, even if it is located below theexisting sewer lines.

Recent times have seen major technologicalimprovements on our products, based onhydraulic efficiency and noise reduction so that

the macerator pumps in operation are almostimperceptible.

If you plan on installing just grey water fixturessuch as a kitchen or laundry, or even a shower orpowder room, then the grey waste water pumpswill be ideal. If you want an additional toilet tomake life easier then use a macerating pumpwhich can also accept grey waste waterfor additional fixtures such as vanity basins,bidets or baths.
