Applying for a credit line

!   Focus in your ‘businessplan’ or canvas model on explaining the business model (easy on the tech details)

!   Forecast on ‘real’ assumptions !  Extensively explain the credit need !  Show the predictability of your earning capacity !  Strong trackrecord of the company, management and

shareholders is available !   Financial commitment of shareholders ! Use the risk analysis of the bank as part of your own risk

analysis

First steps

!  Get a track record, cash flow, asap ! Your customers are the most important financiers of your

company (and don’t forget your suppliers too) !   Inform your banker about changes, on financially and

business model pivots ! Your capital structure follows the choice of your

businessmodel and strategy ! Consider the bank as your best customer ! Use the network of your bank for introductions to investors

!  Make a target list of possible investors and rank them on network and joint drivers
