BewareYou need some imagination to understand the use of our ideas. These four ideas are not formulated on an instrumental level. They don’t have a direct relation to the values.

So at first sight our ideas don’t look like instruments of change. We try to stay away from business terminology like values or vision. These are, deliberately, ideas that are accessible and bring a smile on your face. These ideas will be associated with fun, as activi-ties nice to participate.

But if you take a further look, you can see the potential pow-er for change. You can fill up the ideas with activities more directly related to Sanoma val-ues and expected behaviour.

In this way we are able to real-ise the situation we are always looking for: employees are participating (as if we are in a conversation). It is our opinion that only in this state of mind we are able to change the subject into the direction of the vision and values and to stimu-late employees to think about change and to experiment with it.

10,000 film directors heading for Cannes

Sanoma goes Vine. No script. Loaded with inspiration

The idea Sanoma employees use the twitter film application Vine to make a series of 6 second films. We collect them and put them together into one big film. To be narrow casted on the Sanoma intranet and if quality is good we go for a prize...

Imagine...10,000 Sanoma em-ployees making a big explosion of film, completely inspired by looking ahead, sharing views, engaging people and making things happen.

The process of making such a film takes approximately a year.

During that year the majority of the employees is being occu-pied with the vision in a very committed and active way.

As far as we know this is a project never happened before. The Guin-ness Book of Records is feasible. But what about a real prize, for example during the film festival of Cannes. How much world can you get?

The idea Tune to SGWR, the Sanoma Radio Station

Multitasking radio, playing the music of the employees, and bringing the news from the Sanoma countries to get the world in newsflashes, reports and background documenta-ries.

A mobile studio is moved from the different countries after another and the radio is Sano-ma only.

Radio is less intrusive way to get a message across. All content is made and/or inspired by Sanoma employees all over Europe.

This unique station offers a va-riety of interesting programmes and formats, inspired by or to stimulate the consciousness of the values.

Radio óf the employees, fór the employees! What a perfect platform to organise really cross media thinking and acting.

SpeakersacademyA Travelling Circus Full of Sanoma Talent!

The idea Travelling the Sano-ma offices, we invite Sanoma employees to do a kind of TED Talk on what “Get the World” means for them. How are they on top of the news, how are they on top on what is going on in the world. The talks are being narrow casted on the Sanoma intranet.

Presentations by local employ-ees are mixed with colleagues from other countries.

Perfect examples of talented people working with and ex-ploring the Sanoma values

It is Talk of the Town, it is all about showing talent and Sanoma giving the chance to develop it.

On intranet you find a extended guide and several films of colleagues with inter-esting stories. Just like other speakers’ agencies, in this Sanoma Speakers Acad-emy it’s possible to book a colleague for a presentation or challenge in your department.

Sanoma State Visits

The idea The internal state visit: conquering the world by doing trade mission or organis-ing state visits....

Prepare an official visit for another Sanoma country and vice versa. By preparing such a ‘state-visit’ you have to think about what and who you are,

and what you would have to offer...

Every state visit has a specific theme, related to the values. To prepare a visit of another Sanoma country to your coun-try (host country), there will be installed a special committee. Every employee of the host country with a good idea can apply.

And of course, all this is made visible on the internal Sanoma media.

A different approach to facil-itate Sanoma employees to “Get together”.
