Symptom

You post an accounting document with an accounting transaction (FB01, FB60) and observe that the tax line items in the document (BSEG) have not been summarized although they should have been.

Reason and Prerequisites

You activated the summarization of line items according to note 643273 for reference type BKPF-AWTYP = 'BKPF'. This means  that in the case of determining tax line-by-line line items in the tax table BSET will be compressed as well as tax line items in the document. In addition you activated NewGL dicument splitting. But note 1009374 prevents the compression in the document.

Solution

Please apply the correction instruction. Note that in the case of active document split (NewGl) the summarization is modified in the following way: - in the document (BSEG) all tax carrying gl-line items and their tax line items will be assigned to the same tax group (TXGRP) = '999' - in the document all gl-line items that are not tax relevant or do not cause tax  (tax exempt) will be assigned to tax group '000'. - direct (manually entered) tax line items keep their tax group
