CHEQUE/PAYMENT Our terms are payment on the day and to charge interest on overdue accounts. Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Bankers such references are now obtainable by them direct from their Bank. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced PAYMENT IS STRICTLY CASH ON THE DAY OF THE SALE. The Auctioneers reserve the right to withhold purchases until cheques are cleared.

EAR TAGS – All sheep must be tagged in accordance with the latest legislation for further help/information please contact the store sheep section at Bakewell.

PURCHASERS PLEASE NOTE – Unless Lambs are: 1. Not Homebred 2. Gimmer Lambs We will provide you with only the UK flock number for lambs identified with a single Slaughter EID unless a full read is specifically requested at the fall of the hammer.

SHEEP EID We will do our best to supply you with details of sheep tagged with full EID. However, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of this information. Please note the relevant addition to the Livestock Auctioneers Association National conditions of sale displayed in the market office.

PLEASE NOTE – All sheep must be accompanied by a current movement document and a market declaration stating any withdrawal periods. Please present all relevant information to the office as soon as possible.

VACCINATIONS All Vendors have been asked to complete a basic declaration stating whether their stock has been vaccinated. (on Bagshaws declaration) Details of vaccination will be confirmed at the time of sale No Warranty over the effectiveness of any vaccinations can be given or implied. SHORTAGES – Any shortages must be reported to the Auctioneers before the sheep leave the pen.

UNCASTRATED, SWAYBACK & UNSOUND LAMBS – All lambs are warranted to be sound, free of swayback and properly castrated. All ‘Tup’ or ‘Rig’ lambs must be declared and sold as a separate lot. If any ‘Tup’ or ‘Rig’ lambs are found the Purchaser will have the option either to reject the lamb in question or the whole pen.

Purchasers – Please register or collect your existing computer number from the office, this will help speed up the process of the sale. Please bring to the sale a note of the holding number and address to which the sheep are being moved. Please speak to our staff if you need any help with haulage.
