Not just better vision — a better quality of life. Vision correction
procedures can do more than improve your vision, they can enhance
your life. Imagine having the ability to jog on a windy day, see your alarm
clock when you wake up in the morning or enjoy a movie from the back
row of a theater without the hassle of glasses or contacts.
Drs. Sutton, Linder, Sutton, and Rixen and our team of highly trained
professionals are committed to maximizing the visual potential of our
patients. We provide the latest technology, an educated, caring staff
and a genuine concern for each patient.
The Normal EyeThe eye’s surface is convex, and light rays that hit it bend toward its center. In an eye with a normally curved cornea and the correct shape, an image focuses exactly on the retina.
CONDITIONS OF THE EYE
AstigmatismVision becomes distorted when the surface of the cornea has an uneven curvature. Sometimes, it is the eye’s lens that is irregularly shaped. Astigmatism causes light to focus in more than one spot, leading to blurred vision.
Farsightedness (Hyperopia)When the eyeball is too short, light rays entering the eye focus behind the retina. Both distance and near objects may be out of focus.
Nearsightedness (Myopia)When the eyeball is too long, light rays focus in front of, rather than on, the retina. Under these circumstances, near objects are in focus, but distant objects are not.
Traditionally, the only treatments for these conditions were glasses and contacts. While these solutions are only temporary, LASIK truly changes your eyes, giving you enhanced vision for life.

“Having LASIK gives me a huge advantage onthe field in the NFL. I want to emphasize the great experience I had at Sutton Linder & Sutton and how LASIK changed my life.”
LASIK AND ASA UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCES
LASIK comprises three stages, detailed to the
left. The entire process takes approximately
10 minutes per eye. Most people get back to
their normal routine quickly; some even return
to work the day after surgery.
At Sutton Linder & Sutton, you'll experience
a new level of safety, precision and
personalization with the remarkable
technology of wavefront-adjusted treatment
enhanced with all-laser iFS IntraLase®.
For the LASIK procedure, Drs. Sutton,
Linder, Sutton, and Rixen use the advanced
Allegretto Wave® laser. This laser incorporates
sophisticated Perfect Pulse Technology™
that scans the exact position of your eye
200 times each second. The laser's smart
energy control system precisely calibrates
the amount of laser energy that reaches your
eye to achieve a rounder, more natural shape.
These safeguards ensure greater accuracy
and better results.
A TYPICAL LASIK PROCEDURE

LASIK AND ASA UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCES
A TYPICAL ASA PROCEDUREAdvanced Surface Ablation (ASA) is
the preferred method for correcting
nearsightedness, farsightedness and
astigmatism in individuals with thin corneas
and certain other eye characteristics.
ASA carries a lower risk of severe
complication than LASIK. However, ASA
requires a longer healing process and is
more likely to cause discomfort or irritation in
the two to three days following surgery.
As you can see, the differences between
LASIK and ASA are relatively minor. The
fundamental purpose of each procedure - to
improve your visual acuity by reshaping the
cornea - is the same. The final outcome of
ASA has been proven as good as LASIK.
Like LASIK, ASA is performed on an
outpatient basis. The actual treatment time
for each eye is very brief, lasting no more
than a few minutes.
A thin epithelial layer is removed
The laser smoothes the cornea, allowing you to
achieve better vision(10-20 sec.)
The epithelial layer begins healing within

PERSONALIZED LASIKwith Allegretto Wave
Eyes are like fingerprints; no two are
alike, and our surgeons believe your
treatment should reflect that. That’s
why they offer personalized LASIK
with the Allegretto Wave® laser
— technology that allows them to
treat your eyes with unprecedented
levels of precision, often leading
to better vision than you had with
glasses or contact lenses.
Traditional LASIK can provide
excellent results in correcting a
wide range of vision problems.
Drs. Sutton, Linder, Sutton, and Rixen
are proud to offer all-laser LASIK
with the Allegretto Wave® Laser and
the iFS™ Advanced Femtosecond
Laser. Together, they bring a new
level of safety and precision to laser
vision correction.
Allegretto Wave's revolutionary
approach to laser vision correction
blends the treatment zone with the
surrounding area of the cornea
more smoothly than other lasers,
minimizing side effects such as
glare, halos, and reduced night
vision.
In clinical trials, 93% of patients
treated with the Allegretto Wave had
vision measured at 20/20 or better
one year after the procedure.
ALL–LASER LASIK
Our safe, all-laser approach to LASIK, offers
the highest degree of predictability and
precision. The iFS™ Advanced Femtosecond
Laser provides a less invasive, computer-
controlled approach to creating the flap.
This technology utilizes the silent, computer-
guided precision of a laser delivering micron-
level accuracy more than 100 times greater
than that of a traditional microkeratome,
helping you achieve better results.
All-laser LASIK advantages include:
» Improved safety
» Improved night vision
» Reduced dry eye symptoms
The wavefront-adjusted Allegretto Wave
laser, enhanced with IntraLase, allows our
surgeons to develop a treatment plan that can
be customized to your eyes and your eyes
alone. The result is a more precise LASIK
procedure and crisper, clearer vision than
ever before.Matt ClampittLASIK Patient

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
As a Pilot, contact lenses weren’t working with dust and pollen, and trifocals were definitely not an option for me. The first time I flew after having LASIK, I couldn’t believe it. It was like having high definition vision. My new vision gives me a higher level of confidence while I am flying over fields. I’m really glad I trusted my eyes to Dr. Sutton.
I truly believe LASIK eye surgeryhelped improve my volleyballcareer. After LASIK, I was able togo overseas and play professionalvolleyball!
We might be working on a car or we might be racing a car. The last thing
we want to worry about is glasses or contacts. We’re twins and we do
a lot of things together…including getting LASIK from Dr. Sutton.
Thanks Dr. Sutton!

ABOUT THEIR LASIK SURGERY
I have a really busy lifestyle, I’m always moving within my job so contacts and glasses held me back and slowed me down. Dr. Rixen could really explain to me what I was going to experience because he’s been a LASIK patient too. I cannot believe how LASIK has changed the quality of my life.
After years of dealing with glasses it was time for LASIK. Running a farm can be demanding, but now I don’t have to worry about keeping up with my glasses. Dr. Linder was friendly, knowledgeable, and he gave me a lot of confidence.
My contact lenses were a real hassle when I was out with the buffalo. Working on the ranch
really keeps me busy, now I don’t have to worry about the hassles of contact lenses. Dr. Sutton and his staff treated me more like a family
member than a patient, and I knew I had found the right place.
