Our rating & descriptionOnce upon a time, in the distant 1300s, there was a tiny little hamlet... today, the

ancient stables have been converted in charming restaurant, the old cellars

filled with an excellent selection of wines and, in the villa, romantic bedrooms

and luxurious suites created.

In summer, the air is filled with the fragrances of plants, which seem to want to

ensure their presence is felt by diffusing their delicate perfumes over the Inn a

and its gardens. Thus, those walking through the grounds are enveloped by the

exquisite scents of lime tree blossom, wisteria, and rosemary. The yellowing

fields of grain and the sunflowers that follow the sun so as to signal the passing

of the day announce the arrival of summer. The smell of freshly cut grass, the

morning dew, the scent of the roses all foreshadow, like a tender caress, days

full of sweet and lasting emotions. Of all the places from where to admire the

Tuscan sunsets, it is hard to say which is the most romantic: the square where

the walls are tinged with hues of red and yellow, the poolside where the sun

tenderly embraces the hills and valleys, or under the lime trees, where to admire

the vision of the distant town of Cortona, the windows of its glimmering build-

ings in the setting sun.

AccomodationsNobody staying at the Inn will remain indifferent to its charm and the pervading

atmosphere of serenity. Perhaps it is the aura of the accumulated happiness

of all those generations who, with their labor and their love, have cared for

this corner of Tuscany that has made this place so unique. Inn’s bedrooms and

suites are all individually appointed, featuring an attractive combination of tra-

ditional country furnishings, antiques, and period paintings. A number of rooms,

where welcoming open fireplaces are lit in the winter months, have a familiar

feel. Some boast marvelous views of the grounds of the hotel and the surround-

ing countryside, or look on to the internal courtyard, whilst others, created in the

rooms where the farm workers once lived, open directly on to the colonnaded

portico.

In addition to the large spaces of the courtyard and the gardens, The Inn has

an extensive agricultural estate, with vineyards, olive groves, woods and fields,

where guests can take walks through the countryside.
