1. News from TPC DCS cooling prototype
Project overview:• Aim of the prototype: investigating and developing standard DCS solutions and integrating them in the TPC community
•1-st version of the cooling prototype(IROC) was assembled in april 2001, in 161-R024
• had as main features the cooling mechanical structure very similar to the final version
• control loop was consisting in monitoring the temperature and controlling the input current for heater.

In progress : Step 1 qualification of Wago PLC (in thermolab) consisting in:
-test of system stability
-test of system load (maximum nr. PID loops)
-test of time response with a maximum load
Step 2 studies of other possible solutions :ELMB (the Atlas Embedded Local Monitoring Board)The same type of tests will be performed in the next weeks
PT1000 adaptators , software + connection to sensors finished and working properly

Implications on control side:- test of archiving, alarms and database handling
Step 4 Test of cooling for IROC + electronics (45 FEC)October TPC laboratory
Step 5 Test for a complete control for 1 IROC:cooling, LV Wiener PS, FEC, HV Iseg PSnews : Iseg OPC sever exist and is working good
