Invitation Letterof 16th Indonesia Coal 2015Dear Industrial Colleagues,
The coal oversupply in Indonesia in recent years has been caused by falling global demand amid reduced economic activity (particularly in China). However, the oversupply has been exacerbated by miners’ efforts to increase production volumes in order to generate more revenue and maintain a healthy cash flow, while enhancing cost-efficiency in their operations. As is quoted from Pandu Sjahrir, the chairman of the Indonesian Coal Mining Association, as confirming that the country's coal producers are now cutting back output in a major way. With Sjahrir saying that overall Indonesian production could drop to between 350 million and 400 million tons for 2015. In the meanwhile, In order to meet the rising electricity demands for economic takeoff, Indonesian government plans the construction of up to 17 gigawatts of new coal-fired power generation capacity over the next four years, which will increase coal burning within Indonesia. With a proven track record of huge success, the 16th Indo-Coal 2014 (IC 2015), scheduled for Dec 1st-4th in Jakarta of Indonesia, striving to provide a unique platform for Indonesian Coal industry, bringing together over 300 senior executives from government officials of energy divisions, updating coal mining projects, coal chemicals manufactures, coal equipment suppliers and other industry players to discuss about the up-to-date issues and find the solutions. In this special period of the year, it is vital for all offshore players to join together to discuss the pressing issues and cooperate tightly.
