ANNOUNCEMENTS UPCOMING EVENTS: Nov 3: JV/V Football @ Capital Christian JV @ 5 V @ 7 - Mesa Volleyball Alumni Game 5-8 in Big Gym Nov 9th & 10th: No School SOCCER INFO: Athletic clearance deadline for soccer is November 3. Please turn them into Ms. Parker in PE or Coach Roberts at conditioning by November 3rd. You must have a completed Athletic Clearance to attend Tryouts which start on November 6. Contact Coach Roberts at 916-759-0627 BAKING CLUB: There is another Baking Club Bake Off! It's happening on November 8th (Wednesday), Ms. Vargas's room K101 at lunch. The theme any type of Thanksgiving dessert. Remember you can only participate if you bring baked item and have a signed permission slip. WRESTLING: Wrestling practice will start Monday 11/6. Practice times are from 5-7pm. Please meet at the wrestling room and have your physical packets completed. TODAY IS NATIONAL SANDWICH DAY!!!!

STUDENT WORKSHOP: There will be a student workshop on Thursday Nov. 9th from 8-3:30 at Mesa Verde in room K301. This will include lunch and creating a safe place. If interested fliers are in the office.
PRIDE EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE: Students, families and staff are invited to a student-led conference PRIDE education that will address student culture, diverse populations and will offer participates strategies for building safe space & relationships with students and colleagues. The workshop will take place on Nov 4th at Del Campo High School from 9am to 3pm and lunch will be provided. We look forward to seeing you on Nov 4th. If you love turkey, stuffing, and all the other Thanksgiving goodies, you don't want to miss this wonderful opportunity. Mesa will be taking a field trip to the ARC Diesel Tech and Welding CTE located on the Mather Field campus. You will get the opportunity to try 8 different stations that deal with cars and engines, such as air brushing, welding, and large engine break down. You will also get a FREE turkey day lunch sponsored by the professors and students from the program. Check out the bulletin board by the teachers’ lounge in the D-wing to see pictures of Mesa students that went last year. Please stop by the counseling office and ask Jackie for the permission form and teacher sign-off sheet. Deadline for all paperwork is Wednesday, Nov. 8th.
