Symptom
The description in the installation guide "SAP Knowledge Provider Server Infrastructure Components" (51005153) on the installation of the SAP Content Server is partially incorrect.

Reason and Prerequisites
Subchapter 5.1 "Settings for the SAP Content Server" in chapter 5 "System configuration" of the installation guide "SAP Knowledge Provider Server Infrastructure Components" is not correct for Release 4.6A CA. In the installation guide for Release 4.6A FCS, this is subchapter 6.1.
Solution
Replace the text of chapter 5.1 or 6.1 "Settings for the SAP Content Server", sections "Creating the Content Repositories in the SAP Content Server" and "Setting up folders in the R/3-System" with the following text:
Creating the Content Repositories in the SAP Content Server
Note: The procedure of the following steps depends on the add-on product you are using or the application for which you install the SAP Content Server. The appropriate details can be found in the corresponding documentation.
l Select Transaction CSADMIN.
l Enter the address of the HTTP server with port number of the Content Server in field HTTP-Serv.:Port.
Note: You can check the server address on the Windows NT host. Start the Internet Service Manager, and call the settings of the web site SAP_Content_Server.
l Select Transfer (the remaining input fields will be filled automatically); the input window will be exited.
l Select the tab Create.
l In the field Content Rep., enter a name for the new Content Repository, and in the field Description, enter an explanation.
l Deactivate the option Signature.
l Select Create Repository.
l Repeat the procedure for every Content Repository that was newly set up.

Note: The procedure of the following steps depends on the add-on product you are using or the application for which you install the SAP Content Server. The appropriate details can be found in the corresponding documentation.

l In the Implementation Guide, choose the following: -> Content Management Service -> Maintain Content Repositories.
Note: The description for setting up storages in the Implementation Guide Maintain Content Repositories is valid for the general case. The term Storage system is used as a synonym for the term Content Repository. For setting up a Content Repository on a HTTP Content Server, only the parameters for the fields Content Repository, Long name, HTTP-Serv., Version-No and HTTP-Scrpt(Program) must be filled. Specify the HTTP Content Server with port no. (by default 1090) (for example servername.abc.com:1090). Note: You can also look up the HTTP address of the SAP Content Server on the Windows NT host. Start the Internet Service Manager, and call the settings of the website SAP_Content_Server.
l In the change mode, select Create.
l In the field Repository, enter the name of the Content Repository set up on the Content Server, and in the field Description, enter an explanation.
l Enter "HTTP Content Server" in the field Storage type.
l In the corresponding fields enter version number "0046", the HTTP server with port number and the Content Server program (default "ContentServer/ContentServer.dll").
l Select Save, and repeat the procedure for every Content Repository set up on the Content Server.
Note: For each Content Repository set up on the Content Server, a Content Repository is created in the R/3 System.
Assigning the Content Repositories to storage categories in the R/3 System
l Choose the following in the Implementation Guide: -> Content management service -> Maintain storage categories.
l Your add-on product or the application for which you install the Content Server uses certain storage categories. If necessary, create the necessary storage categories again, or select the storage category used by double-clicking.
l Assign the storage category to the Content Repository that was set up for this purpose in the previous step.
l Repeat the procedure for every storage category.
