FLIP THE CLASSROOM

Today's learners, especially the millennials who make up the vast majority of your trainees, have different expectations of learning than you did. Millennials learn, memorize, and recall information differently than the generations before them. They have a wealth of information available to them anytime, anywhere, and don't want to waste time in a classroom learning basic information that they can easily consume on their own.

You may want to consider encouraging faculty to use a "flipped classroom," where students watch videos about basic concepts online, on their own time, and use scheduled face-to-face time for active discussion and hands-on experience. Your trainees are likely "flipping" their classroom.
