    Any member wishing to speak shall arise and address theChair. If two or more members shall claim the floor at thesame time, the Chairman shall decide; who is entitled to it.

    XIX.llECISTKIi OF F.OATS,

    That an accurate register be kept f r the inspection ofmembers of all the owners of (dub lioats, with names of boats,distinguishing Hag and tcmnage, according to report of SailingConnnittce for each year. Said register t(j be kept by theSecretary.

    XX.Each Yacht shall have a nund)er in the registe?- and shall

    be known tliereljy, })ut no vessel shall be enr(lledin the (Tubthat is let for hire or used for business purposes.

    XXI.To constitute a Club Boat, it is necessary that she be duly

    enrolled, registered and measured by the Sailing Connnittee,and that at least one of her owners be a mend)er of the Club.

    XXII.YACHTS WHEN SOLD.

    Any mendjcr l)uying or selling a yacht, or any part of one,shall notify the Secretary within thirty days ; and any yachtso bought shall l)e duly enrolled and nund)ered, or, if sold,her name shall be erased from tlu; si|uadi()n if one of herpurchasers be not a member of the Clul).

    mitted to carry their keels at the option of the Sailing Mas-ters. To be sealed before starting in a race.

    XXIX.ENTRANCE FOR RACE.Tliat the usual entrance for all club matches ])e one dollar

    for eacli boat, which must l)e paid to the Secretary, and theboat entered at latest the day previous to the race,and that no race shall take place unless two l)oats be enteredand two start.

    XXXI.MEASURIX(i YACHTS.

    That th(> Yachts of this Clul) sliall he measured l)y tliefollowing rule :The length to he taken from the fore partof the stem at the \vater line, to the after part of the sternpost ; the breadth to be taken on the broadest part of theboat, fi"om the outside of the outside plank on one side, tothe outside of the outside plank on the other side, that thesaid breadth shall be deducted from the said length, and tiieremainder having been multiplied by the breadth and theproduct of same multii>lied l>y h;df the ])readth, and theproduct divided l)y !)4, the ijuotient so given shall be esteem-ed the just tonnage, wliich shall be rateil by tlie n^xt halfton above any fraction which may occur in sucii (piotient. ItsluiU be the duty of the Sailing (Committee to measure allVachts eni'olled according to the al)ove rule. Said measurt;-mcnts to be final, when reported to the (Tub.

    XXXII.Protests to be rendered within 24 hours after the start,

    otherwise not to be received.XXXIII.

    Any of the rules of order may be suspended by a vote oftwo-thirds of the members present, but such suspensionshall terminate with the meeting.

    XXXIV.That no motion to add, alter or amend any Club Uule

    shall be entertained, unless notice thereof be given at a regu-lar meeting.

    SAILING REGULATIONS.I.

    CLrii MATCHES,That all Club-matches be under the full direction of the

    Sailing Coininittee. They shall act as Judges, start theYachts, time their return, and report to the Clul). Tliatwhen an e(|ual number of the Sailing Committee are acting,tliey shall appoint anotlier member of tlie C-lub (not a Yaclit-owner), who shall act with them and have a vote.

    II.STATIONS.

    That the Stations shall ])e drawn for the evening beforethe start l)y the parties entering the Yachts, or, in their ab-sence, by the Secretary, or soms other person appointed bythem. That No. I be next the Stake Boat,

    III.FLAGS.

    That all Y^achts sailing in a match shall hoist their respec-tive distinguishing Hags, at the mast head, which Hag shallbe hauleil down by any Yacht giving up the race.

    IV.START FOR RACE.

    That all Yachts sluill be moored at their stations a quarterof an hour after the signal sliall be given by the manager ofthe race, half an hour before the time named for the start.That the signal for stations and starting shall be made bytiring a gun at such places as he may deem convenient, andthat the Yachts at the stations shall have all their sails com-pletely down.

    COURSE RE-SAILED.Ill the event of any race having to ])e sailed over again, thehoats nnist start tlie second time from the same place and

    stations, with the same amount of haUast as at tirst, to thesatisfaction of tiie Sailing Committee, and with tiie samesails unaltered, unless when direct injury to any sail shallhave rendered repairs unavoidable.

    XI.That no poles or sweeps, or otlier means, except sails, be

    used during a race to accelerate the speed of al)oat, nor shallany ballast be shipped or unshipped during a race.

    XII.That no Yacht shall be allowed to touch, either with her

    hull or any portion of her spars, rigging or sails, any buoy orother mark of the course.XIII.

    ROrXDING 15U0YS OR MARKS.In apprttachiiig with a view to round any j)art of the

    course, no Yacht coming up to another shall ])u permitted toMttempt to pass between it and the said mark, unless she cando so clearly ahead of tliat other, which shall not be therebyretjuired to go out of her course to make room for the boat socoming up. The boat nearest to any ])Uoy or other mark ofthe course which it is approaching, shall }je deemed the head-nKistboat; and any boat coining up to her must sail so asnot to force her to touch such buoy, or mark, to avoid colli-sion ; and in tlie CA'cnt of a breach of this rule, the boat solorced shall not incur a penalty. Yachts must round on theI'ort side of buoy, and all marks on the course must be kepton the }\)rt side. XIV.

    RECEIVING PERSONS ON BOARlJThat no Boat shall receive on board any person or persons

    during a race, over and above those with whom she started,unless she does so to save life.
