    Introduction

The event that America dropped 2 atomicbombs on Japan was a change agent, because it made Japan surrender andfinally World War II was over. It was thefirst time America used the atomic bomb ina war, but it killed a lot of people.

    Before My Change Agent

In 1941, Japan dropped bombs on PearlHarbor. Pearl Harbor was an American

    naval base in Hawaii.

Before this attack, America didnt fight inWorld War II, so they were really surprisedabout Japans attack in Pearl Harbor.

    It also made America really

angry about Japan, soafterwards, America foughtwith Japan until 1945.America already had a lot ofbases that were near Japan, and dropped many bombson Japan. This almost

destroyed Japan, but Japanstill didnt surrender.

    After

    My Change Agent

The next day, Japan surrendered. On September 2, Japan officiallysigned the surrender terms, because Japan knew the atomicbomb was really bad. On that day,World War II was over.

I think that my change agent wasgood, because it stopped WorldWar II quickly.

    My Change Agent

America asked Japan to give up and toldthem about a new weapon they had: theatomic bomb. But Japan didnt reply. So onAugust 6, 1945, Paul Tibbet flew a superfortress airplane called Enola Gay to Japanfrom the Philippines. This super fortressairplane carried a big atomic bombcalled Little Boy. At 8:15 am, Major ThomasFerebee opened Enola Gays bay door, andsent that atomic bomb straight down on thecity Hiroshima. About 1 minute later, a cloudformed a big mushroom. More than 100,000Japanese died instantly.

On August 9, 1945, America dropped the

second atomic bomb Fat Man, on the cityNagasaki; it killed 80,000 more peopleimmediately.
