On Saturday, August 15th we celebration The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Because the feast day falls on a Saturday, it is not a day of obligation, and therefore, there are no additional Masses.
A Source of Grace Prayer isn’t a luxury—it’s a vital source of grace and strength. Making time for daily prayer is especially important when we’re busy. In the morning, commit your day to God’s care and service. If something causes you worry, anger, or happiness, say a quick prayer. Thank God for His help at the end of the day. “Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22).

Religious Education News
We are having Religious Education in the fall. As of right now, we are planning to follow our traditional class schedule. We are also working on several options should we not be able to hold class in the usual manner. If you carpool to class, please let us know who you carpool with. If we need to have class on alternate weeks, we want to try to accommodate you. We are changing our curriculum to Sadlier “Christ in Us” for grades one through six, which will include a digital component. We continue to research curriculum for seventh and eighth grades. The registration form is available on the parish website or by calling the Religious Ed Office (914) 734-9243. Please register your child as soon as possible so we can order supplies. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9am until 1pm. Confirmation ceremonies for the class of 2020 will be scheduled shortly. As soon as the dates are set, parents will be emailed. First Communion Masses that were postponed from this spring will happen in the fall. We will let parents as soon as we have the dates.
