ROBIN BABCOCK, Freshman • Has a good attitude and is an excellent putter. Will play a lot of golf for UNI.
MIKE CARDIN. Junior• Mike is improving each year. One of the longest drivers on the team.
JEFF CURRAN. Sophomore • Newcomer to the team after playing two seasons of football. Untested in college golf. but should be a factor in the spring campaign.
RICK ERICKSON. Sophomore • Rick has made progress on his swing. Expect improvement from him. He will be a big help.
LARRY GLADSON. Junior• Most improved player on the squad. All-Conference last spring. Expect Larry to be one of the team leaders.
DOUG GRIGGS. Junior • Doug is improving steadily. but is not quite ready to break into the starting line-up.
TOM McCANN. Sophomore • Tom made significant improvement last fall. breaking into the top six. Expect him to play an important role this spring.
BRIAN RODENBERG. Sophomore • Brian is a newcomer to the squad. Hard worker and making progress.
DENNIS ROMMANN. Senior • All-Conference two years. Has played in two national tournaments. Very consistent player and excellent team leader.
BILL SUTION. Junior• Bill lacks consistency but is working hard to make necessary improvements.
JEFF TEXTOR. Sophomore• Steady player coming off a poor fall season. Jeff should give team a lot of help.
STEVE PETERS. Junior• An excellent basketball player trying his hand at golf. Has good potential and excellent attitude.

LAURIE SPELTZ. Senior• Laurie was the number one golfer for the team last fall. A consistent golfer and a team leader.
MARY ANN GRETEMAN. Junior• A consistent first team player. Mary Ann has been improving and should have her best year this spring.
ANN KOPPEN. Sophomore· Ann is steadily improving her scores and becoming more valuable to the team.
JO KELLOWAY. Sophomore· Jo has to become more consistent. but is a very good golfer when on her game.
KIM MANN. Freshman.• A very promising prospect at UNI. Kim finished sixth in Division II regionals last fall.
JEANNE SUTHERLAND. Freshman· Jeanne showed continued improvement last fall and ended up medalist in the last meet of the season. Should continue to improve this spring.
DEB BERG. Senior• Deb is a seasoned veteran having played four years of varsity golf. Should provide good leadership.
DEB GROTE, Freshman • Deb comes to UNI with impressive credentials. having broken all of Vinton High School's golf records. Should be a big help to the team.
Carol Phillips is in her fifth year as an instructor at UNI. She received her undergraduate degree at Ohio State University and played varsity tennis and volleyball. Phillips went to Washington State University for her graduate schooling and was a teaching assistant in golf. tennis and volleyball. This is Phillips first year as coach for the women's golf team. filling in for Jeanette Marsh who is doing graduate study.

Starting his ninth year at the helm of UNl's men's golf team. Ken Green has built an impressive list of credentials. Coach Green's teams have notched two second place finishes and three conference championships. as well as having four teams qualify for the national tournaments. Green was District Five Coach of the Year in 1973 and coached UNI to an eighth place finish in the national tournament in 1976. Other honors include having three AllAmericans from UNI and being nominated for the All-American Selection Committee by other area schools.
