Village on HorsetoothHousing Catalyst’s newest development opened in October 2018, bringing affordable apartments to central Fort Collins. This community features a large greenspace at its center, community gardens, playground, dog park, covered bike parking and walking paths that connect to a city trail system. Its location is ideal for families — within walking distance to three schools, several large city parks and a bus stop.

We provide the critical tools families need and serve as an anchor for people whose lives need stability and support.
Village on ShieldsWhen Housing Catalyst purchased this community, it was in dire need of repairs and upgrades. In 2018, all apartment interiors and exteriors were renovated, and residents now have central air conditioning, beautifi ed outdoor green spaces, new playgrounds and a dog park. The pool and community building, previously non-operational, now include a fi tness room and expanded gathering spaces.

• JumpStart enrolled 39 new families and graduated 16 families, each with an average of $6,167 in an accrued escrow savings account
• Resident services expanded its program staff to equip and empower residents for success
• Housing Catalyst and community partners explored strategies to support resident children’s success in school
