Noah and the Flood

As the world’s population grew, God saw the evil of man emerge.

God planned to destroy mankind, but God told this to Noah, “a perfect man in his generation”,

and told him to build an ark.

After Noah had made the ark, God then told Noah to fill the ark with two of each kind of animal, a male and a female, along with his

wife, sons, his sons’ wives and himself.

And then the flood came. The flood had destroyed all living things, except for Noah and

his ark. “And the waters prevailed upon the earth for a hundred and fifty days.”

Noah sent out a dove to see whether or not the land had dried. If

it came back, the waters were still there, if it did not come back the

waters were gone.

When the dove did not come back, Noah saw the waters had dried, God blessed Noah and his family.

God said, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from youth; neither will I again smite

any more every thing living, as I have done.”
